Isn’t that always the goal deep down? Feel the best ever to be the best ever and spread the best ever vibes?

If your answer to that question is yes, and you just want to get right down to the precise protocol on exactly how to achieve it - you’re going to use the following few paragraphs as your guidebook for life.

Wake up like…

“You’ve got to tell yourself it’s the best day ever.”

David stresses the importance of positive affirmations and not only that, but also clarifying and spelling it out for yourself EXACTLY what your best day ever looks and feels like.

  • Why do you want this to be the best day ever?

  • How do you have to feel for this to be the best day ever?

  • What do you have to do for this to be the best day ever?

  • Who do you need to connect with for this to be the best day ever?

  • Etc. etc. etc.

 

Make it crystal clear for yourself, and then TELL yourself it’s happening. Visualize, articulate, do.

Popping pills like…

“We are toxic.”

David gets straight to the point on this one, and highlights the importance of detoxification first thing in the morning.

What’s the magic supplement?

Charcoal.

But no - not the kind you’re thinking.

We’ve all heard of “Activated Coconut Charcoal” - but this is NOT the stuff that David recommends - at least not on a daily or consistent basis. It’s too aggressive on your system and will likely cause digestive disturbances - including constipation.

While supplements and superfoods are a great level-up to your diet, David isn’t ignorant to the importance of creating the space and love for those upgrades to flourish.

If nothing else, practice mindful breathwork for even just a few minutes each day and you’ll be surprised at how your entire life can and will transform.

Fuelling up for the best day ever

Amongst all the eat this, don’t eat that hocus-pocus out there, it can be extremely difficult to discern exactly how to eat to feel the best ever.

Here’s where to start: your gut. It’s your second brain and basically at the root of all joy and/or evil.

Listen to your gut, they say.

Well, David says: feed your gut carefully.

He’s a huge believer in Donna Gates Body Ecology system of healing, which proposes that the key to health and longevity starts with a flourishing inner ecosystem living inside your intestines.

Food combination principals play a major role in this, and the major takeaway he shared with me has to do with everyone’s favourite health buzzword: PROBIOTICS!

What does that look like for you?

Ideally, at least one fermented food a day. 

David likes live sauerkraut as an accessible (and fairly inexpensive and/or easy to make example).

For more intensive healing of the gut, when working with particular digestive tract issues, you’ll have a fermented food with each and every meal per day, and be cautious with food combining.

Preferably, a fermented food + a fat, a fermented food + a protein, etc.

Basically, if you’re tummy needs some extra gentle healing - you shouldn’t actually “balance” your plate with all things: carbs, fat, protein, as that will overwhelm an inflamed GI tract.

Best clean ever?

As for green beauty products, David wholeheartedly raves about none other than Best Skin Ever by Living Libations.

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) is where it’s at. It’s a form of vitamin B3 (niacin), and it increases the rate of chemical reactions in our mitochondria as well as helps the cell repair the cellular genetic material (read more here).

I’ve started taking 100ml daily and while I do get the “Niacin flush” reaction - apparently it’s totally normal and your body can work it’s way up to taking much greater doses for a wide variety of particular healing benefits.
